Its northerly aspect ensures that it receives plenty of sunshine all year round.

And it is well protected from the prevailing wind and waves by Corlette Headland and Sandy Point.

Peppers Anchorage Resort & Marina is a 3-minute walk from The Anchor Light.

A facial at the Day Spa at Peppers followed by dinner at the award winning Merretts Restaurant is a favourite with our guests.

And the outstanding view over Corlette Beach is a popular excuse to meet for drinks at sunset in the Captain's Bar.

It takes about 40-minutes to walk into Nelson Bay along The Waterfront Path and many of our guests walk into town for lunch.

Our guests also hire bikes at Peppers and ride to Tomaree National Park and beyond to Fingal Bay and The Outer Lighthouse.

The Waterfront Reserve that runs the length of Corlette Beach is gorgeous and has a delightful walking path that meanders through stands of large eucalypts from Corlette Headland to Nelson Bay.

The Anchorage Marina is a great place to hire a bike or rent a dinghy, book a fishing charter or learn to sail.

We often spot dolphins from the seawall and, in the cooler months, Fairy Penguins chasing bait fish in the Marina.

Dolphin-watch cruises depart regularly from the Marina and whale-watch cruises from May to October.

And the sunset dinner cruise is sensational.
