The 21 metre high Outer Lighthouse was built on Point Stephens in 1862. Today it is solar powered and can be seen at a range of 28 kilometres.

Crossing Fingal Spit can be dangerous and it is very important to check tides and local sea conditions with the appropriate authorities beforehand.

Gantry Bay is a good place for a swim on the walk back to Fingal.
