AAA Tourism Pty Ltd is an independent organisation that operates the official "STAR" Rating scheme in Australia. AAA Tourism perform a comprehensive annual assessment and assign a STAR rating on a scale from 1 to 5 with 5 STAR awarded to only the most outstanding properties. Note that AAA Tourism assess only the building and guest appointments of a property and not the location. This is why two properties can have the same STAR rating when one is clearly in a much better location. The Anchor Light is located on Corlette Point Road at Corlette Beach which is one of the few north-facing beaches on the east coast and generally considered to be the best sandy beach in Port Stephens. Corlette Beach is a 30-minute drive from Newcastle Airport and a 2½-hour drive north of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. And it is also far enough away from Nelson Bay — the epicentre of tourism and holiday apartments at Port Stephens — to relax and unwind. Corlette Point Road is a quiet No-Through road that runs for 200 metres behind the beach down to Corlette Headland Reserve and the exclusive Peppers Anchorage Resort & Marina. It takes about 1-minute to walk from The Anchor Light to Corlette Beach, 3-minutes to Peppers and about 40-minutes to walk along The Waterfront Path into Nelson Bay. Corlette Point Road properties rarely come on the market and often set records for property prices in Port Stephens when they do. With a gorgeous waterfront reserve fronting onto a sensational beach and a location that is close (but not too close) to the action in Nelson Bay, Corlette Point Road is generally considered to be the most desirable address in Port Stephens. |
